چکیده

Dielectric behavior of doped poly (methyl acrylate) (PMA) Conducting polymer has been investigated in electret state. The permittivity and loss factor have been obtained at varying temperatures from 30 to 230C and different frequencies 05,10,25 and 50 kHz for different electrode configurations of doped poly (methyl acrylate) (PMA) conducting polymer films of 25μm thickness. The capacitances are found to increase with the increase in temperature for similar electrode Al-Al system, however, in case of dissimilar electrode Al-Cu combinations, a shoulder peak is found at 110±10C and remaining variations are the same, as found in case of similar electrode system. The variation of permittivity with temperature is attributed to thermal expansion in the lower temperature region and to the orientation of dipolar molecules in the neighborhood of glass tuber transition temperature Tg (180C) of doped poly (methyl acrylate) (PMA) conducting polymer. The variation of loss factor with temperature at different constant frequencies show two loss maxima, first at 90±10C and second at 108±10C, below and near Tg of PMA, corresponding to α and β relaxations of the polymer which shift to lower temperatures as frequency is decreased. The increase in losses with the decreases of frequency is ascribed to the increase in conductivity of the polymer.

Molecularly imprinted films of acrylonitrile/methyl methacrylate/acrylic acid terpolymers: influence of methyl methacrylate in the binding performance of L-ephedrine imprinted films.

Molecularly imprinted polymeric films (MIPFs) highly selective to 1R,2S(-)ephedrine (L-ephedrine, EPD) were produced by phase inversion post-polymerization imprinting on poly(acrylonitrile-co-methyl methacrylate-co-acrylic acid) (PAMA) terpolymers. The inclusion of methyl methacrylate (MMA) to the polymer formulation resulted in enhanced EPD selectivity which appears to be dictated by polymer c...

Modular Synthesis of ABC Type Block Copolymers by ‘‘Click’’ Chemistry

Heterotelechelic polystyrene (PS), poly(tert-butyl acrylate) (PtBA), and poly (methyl acrylate) (PMA), containing both azide and triisopropylsilyl (TIPS) protected acetylene end groups, were prepared in good control (Mw/Mn 1.24) by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The end groups were independently applied in two successive ‘‘click’’ reactions, that is: first the azide termini were f...

Effects of pentacene-doped PEDOT:PSS as a hole-conducting layer on the performance characteristics of polymer photovoltaic cells

We have investigated the effect of pentacene-doped poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene:poly(4-styrenesulfonate) [PEDOT:PSS] films as a hole-conducting layer on the performance of polymer photovoltaic cells. By increasing the amount of pentacene and the annealing temperature of pentacene-doped PEDOT:PSS layer, the changes of performance characteristics were evaluated. Pentacene-doped PEDOT:PSS thin ...

Starch graft poly(methyl acrylate) loose-fill foam: preparation, properties and degradation.

Starch graft poly(methyl acrylate) (S-g-PMA) was prepared by ceric ion initiation of methyl acrylate in an aqueous corn starch slurry (prime starch) which maximized the accessibility of the starch for graft polymerization. A new ceric ion reaction sequence was established as starch-initiator-methyl acrylate followed by addition of a small amount of ceric ion solution when the graft polymerizati...
